UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, is the premier organization responding to disasters. St. Matthew’s is creating UMCOR kits for hurricane victims: hygiene kits and clean-up buckets. (We are a regional collection site for UMCOR kits, so it’s only right that we supply some ourselves!)
You’ll find examples of hygiene kits and clean-up buckets at the church. Take a list of ingredients, go shopping, and bring the items back to the church by Wednesday, Sept. 27. You can supply a whole kit or partial ingredients for one or more kits. Join with some friends to create kits. Nothing beats working together.
