A chance for you to help others as they leave prison
When people who have completed their sentences are released from prison, they often have very little with which to begin their lives as they reenter society. Concord Prison Outreach is partnering with the Massachusetts Department of Corrections to provide a WELCOMEBACKpack containing basic essentials to those returning citizens most in need. St. Matthew’s has agreed to provide 72 backpacks, and we hope everyone will help. Here’s how:
- Purchase items to put in the bags by February 10: Sign up HERE to donate. All the items must be new, unopened, free of potentially offensive markings, and as specified on the list. Everything should be brought to St. Matthew’s by February 10.
- Help pack the WELCOMEBACKpacks, 9:15am on Sunday, February 11. Everyone’s welcome.
