James 1:12-18
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love God.
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does God tempt anyone; but each of you is tempted when you are dragged away enticed by your own evil desire. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. Don’t be deceived, my dear sisters and brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. God chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all God created.

Pastor: God wants our love more than God wants our offerings; God cares about our hearts not the amounts of our offerings. (Hosea 6:6).
All: As we count all the blessings God has already given to us, we cheerfully give our offerings to God, the Provider, with grateful hearts. Amen! (2 Corinthians 9:7).
