MESSAGE FOR ALL AGES

ANTHEM – Give Me Jesus (Sue Lee)

We are TRANSFORMED by the Word of God

2 Timothy 3:13-17
Evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Song of Songs 2:10-13
Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
12 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.

GOOD NEWS – Arise, My Darling, My Beautiful One, And Come with Me!
Why do we need to read the Bible and meditate on It? Because the Bible says so? Is it a good enough reason for you? Is it motivating enough for you? We are going to learn what it is so good about reading the Bible and meditating on It this Sunday.

SONG – The Jesus in Me (sung twice, Worship & Song, green book, # 3151)

RESPONSE TO GOD’S GRACE (OFFERING)

Pastor: God wants our love more than God wants our offerings; God cares about our hearts not the amounts of our offerings. (Hosea 6:6).
All: As we count all the blessings God has already given to us, we cheerfully give our offerings to God, the Provider, with grateful hearts. Amen! (2 Corinthians 9:7).

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
