Come relax and enjoy a free concert by the “Grenadilla Gang,” an ensemble of ten clarinet players, on June 30th at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary. This is the second concert presented by the group at St. Matthew’s and is offered in appreciation for their ongoing use of the Youth Room for rehearsals.
The hour-plus performance offers an eclectic mix of music, including that of Bach, Gershwin, Vaughan Williams, and Holst. The church has offered to help provide refreshments after the concert; please click here if you would like to bring a food item to share.
The group gets its name from Grenadilla, a dark, dense hardwood from Southeast Africa used to make virtually all high-quality clarinets.
