Please come join us for a free concert by the “Grenadilla Gang,” a professionally coached ensemble of nine clarinet players. The hour-plus performance is Sunday May 4 at 2 PM in the sanctuary and will be followed by refreshments.
The “gang” will perform an eclectic variety of music, including that of Bach, Elgar, Grieg, Vaughn Williams, Lennon/McCartney and others. The ensemble is presenting this concert in appreciation for the ongoing use of the Youth Room for its rehearsals.
Oh, in case you’re wondering…the group gets its name from Grenadilla, a dark, dense hardwood from Southeast Africa used to make virtually all high-quality clarinets.
