On Sunday, May 22nd, Saint Matthew’s hosted a Blessing of the Animals event. Pastor Steve Garnaas-Holmes led us all in reflection and prayer, following which he prayed individually over each animal. Finally, the event was topped off with ice cream, both of the human variety (four flavors of Kimball’s!) and the dog variety. The Sunday school classes even made dog treats! What a way to reflect on what our pets mean to us!
