We welcome you to join us in watching THE CHOSEN.
It is that time of year again when we start thinking about the inevitable change in the temperature and start preparing for winter. Our neighbors in need also face this reality. Each fall, St. Matthew’s collects offerings of coins, paper money and checks to support our neighbors in our communities. This money goes to a…
St. Matthews has made many important investments in energy saving improvements over the past several years including new windows, insulation, and energy efficient lighting. In 2020, we decided to make a dramatic reduction in our carbon footprint and installed solar panels on the church. We financed the solar panels with a $80,000 mortgage on the…

We are in need of a few more volunteers to join the ranks of a dedicated group that counts and records the offering after the service on Sundays. No special skills required. Each Sunday 2 counters spend about 45 minutes counting the offering. With a few more volunteers, each counter would only need to count every 4th or 5th Sunday. Training would be provided, and you would be paired with an experienced counter. For more information, or to volunteer please speak with Jennifer Wynn, or email pjdoubledae@verizon.net.
Have you ever been curious about playing handbells? Bells of St. Matthew’s invites you to play in worship on Dec. 15. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, from 7 to 8:30 PM, and you can attend as few as just two rehearsals before December 15. While some prior musical experience can be helpful, it’s not necessary; absolutely anyone ages 14 and up is welcome. If you’re interested, please contact Abby Schoppe, St. Matthew’s Director of Handbell Ministries, at handbells@saint-matthews.org.

Stewardship is about giving of ourselves. Giving of our talents and resources. Giving to others. And one way we share our resources and enable us to run our church and meet our budget, is to hold a Talent Tree Stewardship campaign. You might remember this from last year. To participate we ask that you complete THIS form by 11/14 sharing something you do, that you would like to offer up to others in return for a donation to St. Matthew’s.
