The Chancel Choir is inviting all singers to attend an Open Rehearsal on Thursday, March 6 at 7:30pm. This is a chance for you to experience singing in a group with no commitment required. We will be working on music for the Lenten and Easter season. Specifically, we will be starting to learn music for an Easter Cantata. This music will be similar in style to the Christmas Cantata we sang in December.
All singers are invited!! No musical training is necessary!! Here are some amazing benefits of singing that you may want to experience.
Physical benefits: Singing uses your whole body and mind. It improves breathing, posture and muscle tension.
Social and Emotional benefits: Singing has been shown to increase happiness and feelings of well being. Singing in a group creates a strong social bond.
Spiritual benefits: Music is a part of every human culture. Music has been a part of spiritual and religious traditions throughout human history.
