Volunteers needed for the Festival:
Calling all St. Matthew’s members! The Festival of Sharing is under a month away – Saturday, December 3, 10:00 – 2:00. Many things are all lined up, including 21 amazing organizations, live vocal and handbell music, and crafts for kids (and adults?). But, there are lots of ways in which we still need your help. Please sign up here to help with baking, setting up, tearing down, and much more.
BEFORE THE FESTIVAL
· Bake Cookies: The signup sheet is here
· Bake Bread: The signup sheet is here
There are other opportunities to sign up below. The tasks are:
· Host a yard sign (if your house is visible to lots of traffic)
· Help set up for the Festival, Friday, Dec 2, 1:00-3:00. We need people who can move furniture and plants, set up tables, perhaps help decorate (may involve climbing a ladder)
· Harvest some fresh greens by pruning your Boxwood, Holly, Yews, Chamaecyparis, Arborvitae, Juniper. Branches must be at least 6 inches long. Deliver to the upstairs left Sunday School classroom on Monday or Tuesday, November 28 or 29. These greens will be used by Thelma to make her beautiful greens for sale at the Festival
· Help assemble the evergreen centerpieces, at church, Friday, Dec 2, 9-12.
DURING THE FESTIVAL
· Help Kris Osborne at the craft table
· Help staff the Greeters’ table (warmly & enthusiastically welcome everyone, hand out clipboards, explain the process, ask how they heard about the Festival, etc.)
AFTER THE FESTIVAL
· Reset the sanctuary and other areas on Saturday after the Festival (2:00-4:00) so we’re ready for church on Sunday.
If you are able to sign up for more than one task, simply check the check boxes in the tasks you are willing to do and click ‘Sign up for All Selected’ and you will only need to enter your information one time.
Thank you for being offering to help us make this wonderful event successful.
