Our Worship

Worship is at the heart of our life together. Everybody is welcome. Everybody. No matter your beliefs, mental state, sexual identity, clothes, or anything else. There’s no dress code, no belief code, no behavior code. In worship we tell the story of God’s love so that we become a part of that story—and God uses us to change the world with love. The purpose of worship is not to be entertained or to recharge our batteries (although that happens), but to offer ourselves to God and reorient our consciousness so that we are mindful of our offer to God all week long for the sake of the world.
We welcome children and delight in their full participation in worship—but if your kid is too squirmy for you, we have a “family room” where you can be a part of things but your child won’t be heard, we have a small, comfortable area in the back of the church for kids to take a break from sitting so formally where there is a small table and chairs for quiet coloring or reading, as well as a few beanbag seats, and we have nursery care at both services.

The church is fully accessible, and listening devices are available for the hearing impaired.

The Sacraments of Communion and Baptism

We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month during much of the year, and weekly in Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter.  Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is the love of God, and nobody gets left out of that, so everybody’s welcome. Yep, everybody.
Baptism is celebrated in morning worship on various Sundays throughout the year by arrangement with the pastor.
