Welcome from Pastor Bob Moore
I began my ministry here after 11 years in a Connecticut church and 9 years before that in a Rhode Island Church. I wondered if any church could feel as much like home to me as either of my previous congregations. I was blessed to discover how immediately I felt at home here. It was the warmth and hospitality of the congregation that did it for me.
I want to extend the invitation to you to come and discover that hospitality. If you visit us here, I will do all I can to see that you are welcomed as warmly as I was welcomed. When you come here, you will also discover a church with a vibrant music ministry, a caring and dedicated ministry with children, opportunities to stretch your faith and your mind in adult education opportunities, a year-round mission and outreach focus, and lots of good fellowship-usually involving food.
St. Matthew's is a wonderful congregation. With a glorious modern building and spacious parking, we have plenty of room for you here. Most of all, we have room for you in our hearts. Open hearts, open minds, open doors is the motto of the United Methodist Church.
