Make a Joyful Noise

Music is an important and integral part of our worship experiences.

Pastor Steve is an accomplished musician in his own right, and it is not unusual to have one of his musical creations in our services.

Our 10:30 worship service is graced with the sounds of our Chancel Choir and very often by one or more of our handbell choirs.

Our 8:15 worship is blessed by the music of our organist, Ken Plant, as he makes our organ and grand piano fill the sanctuary with heavenly music. Handbells frequently add to the “joyful noise” of this service.

In addition to our choirs, vocal and instrumental soloists also enrich our worship on various occasions.

Below, you will find a brief description of some of our music programs.

Vocal and Overall Musical Direction

David Potts leads the Chancel Choir.  Our Chancel Choir sings weekly at the 10:30 a.m. services.  Chancel Choir rehearsals are held throughout the school year on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.  For more information or to join any of these choirs, or if you have other musical talent you are willing to share, please contact David Potts (home phone: 508-842-7746).

The Choristers

The Choristers sing at various times during the year.  These young musicians share their talents during some of our worship services.

Ken Plant delights us week after week with a variety of music from jazz and gospel to classical and beyond.  With a state-of-the-art Rogers digital organ and a Yamaha G2 grand piano, Ken has a vast array of sounds at his disposal, which he uses creatively as called for by the music.
