Being Mortal: A Book Discussion

Over  a series of Sunday afternoons we will be discussing the book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End.  In Being Mortal, Boston surgeon Atul Gawande argues that medicine can not only improve life but also the process of its ending.  Quality of life is the desired goal for patients and families, not devastating procedures that only extend suffering.

With eye-opening research and moving stories, Being Mortal asserts that medicine can comfort and enhance our experience providing both a good life and a good end.

Please join us at 4:30 beginning Sunday, October 4th in our Sanctuary.
